Okay, so I started off pretty healthy this morning, I ate wheat puffs with a banana cut up in it, with 2% milk...and I stopped eating when I got full...
I did not get to weigh myself last night because we are still in the process of moving, and I don't know where my scale is...I will have to find it ASAP
Here are my stats..I am guess on weight...
Height: 5'4 1/2"
Weight: 170
Goal Weight: 130 (or less)
Please leave me feedback and suggestions, that way, I know that people are paying attention, so I have to lose the weight...I need the help of others...on my own has not cut it so far!

Hey Holly, you're doing great so far just by having the gumption to do it! Please check on your puffed wheat cereal. It seems healthy, but there may not be enough to it. For one thing there really isn't much fiber in it. There also isn't enough density in it to make you feel like you ate something worthwhile, which is a huge problem with dieting! Your willpower can only take you so far, then sometimes your cravings can get out of hand and cause you to go WAYYYYY off the wagon. Make sure you're eating really dense, worthwhile foods that have low glycemic index.... lots for you to research, if you want!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the advice, I do really appreciate it...I really should know this stuff...mom has told me a lot of it before...but how much can one really pay attention to their mother...anyways...
ReplyDeleteI know the cereal doesn't have much in it, that is why I ate a whole banana chopped up in it with 2% milk, because what the cereal doesn't have...the rest should make up for it...
But thanks so very much for the advice...keep it coming
Okay, you asked for it... well, bananas are great for fiber, and they have a little protein, too. The bad news is they are really high on the glycemic index. I'd be interested in knowing how long your breakfast "lasted" before you felt really hungry, because both the cereal and the banana would have spiked your blood sugar and used up your available calories. Foods like rice, potatoes, and bananas actually raise our blood glucose level more than white sugar! Foods lower on the glycemic index tend to help you feel fuller for a longer period of time. Here is a good place to start learning about it: www.gilisting.com
ReplyDeleteI will definately check that out...I did not know any of that! I was good from 7:30am to about 11am...I usually eat lunch about 11:30-noon.
ReplyDeleteI held off eating until then...but I was hungry! I am hoping the peas and chicken make up for the rice that I ate for lunch...I will be eating a peach as a snack about 3ish this afternoon...that is my usual snack time!
Beans are kinda in the mid range, geese..I can't get a break...I don't know what to eat anymore...
I LOVE this website...thanks so much Aunt Ferol! It is sooooo full of info that lets me know what I should cut out (potatoes, I love them so much though...) and foods that I can have...noodles, pasta, I love pasta...I will just have to work on everything I eat...I want to lose 30-40 pounts by May of next year, the end of this year would be better, but May next year will work.
